4/6/07......Malborough remain in Divsion 5
After the re-structure of the South Devon League , Boro will remain in Division Five for the 2007/08 season. The following teams will play in Division Five next season : Malborough United , Chagford Res , Teignmouth Res , Broadhempston Res , Torbay Christians Res , Stoke Gabriel 3rds , Staverton Res , Stoke Fleming , Ipplepen Res , Abbotskerswell Res , Loddiswell Res ,Ashburton Res.
18/5/07....Kingdom takes top award
After tonight’s Football Club Dinner the following awards were given :- Player of the Year - Mark Kingdom , Young Player of the Year - Andy King , Managers Award - James Thomas , Clubman of the Year - Chris Guard.
13/5/07....Hard lesson to learn
Newton Spurs 3rds sealed promotion to Division Four with a devasting lesson in the art of shooting by beating Boro 8-1. Six of the eight goals were from outside the penalty box giving keeper Brian Jones little chance. Malborough actually put in a decent performance but could not match Spurs clinical finishing. The Boro scorer was Josef Sita.
5/5/07......Broadhempston just edge out Boro
Malborough deserved to come away with at least a point against promotion chasing Broadhempston Utd but lost by 3-2. Joe Bailey put Boro ahead inside two minutes only for the home side to level on ten minutes. James Whitley put Boro back in front but once again conceeded an equaliser right on half time. The winning goal came midway through the second half but Boro had a good goal ruled out just before after a bad refereeing decision.
25/4/07....United for the future
From the start of next season the name of the club will change to Malborough United F.C. This change will start the process of the amalgamation with K.M. United.
